This page lists the prerequisites required for performing searches.

Text queries

When performing searches using text queries, ensure the following prerequisites are met:

• You’re familiar with the concepts that are described on the Platform overview page.
• You've already created an index, and the Marengo video understanding engine is enabled for this index.
• You've already uploaded a video, and the platform has finished indexing it.

Image queries

In addition to the prerequisites listed in the Text queries section above, the images you wish to use must meet the following requirements:

• Format: JPEG and PNG.
• Dimension: Must be larger than 378x378 pixels.
• Size: Must not exceed 5MB.
• Object visibility: Ensure that the objects of interest are visible and occupy at least 50% of the video frame. This helps the platform accurately identify and match the objects.
