Rodeo

Rodeo is an AI rough cut assistant for your videos. You describe the story you want in plain language, and Rodeo finds the matching clips and assembles them into a rough cut. Refine it by describing changes or fine-tuning on the timeline, then export to your finishing tool.

Key features:

  • Content-based search: Rodeo finds clips by what happens on screen and in the audio, not by filename, timecode, or tag. Describe any moment, and Rodeo returns the matching clips.
  • Plain-language direction: Say what you want to make in everyday words: no keyword crafting, no rule scripting.
  • A cut, not a search list: Rodeo assembles the matching clips into scenes, ordered to tell a story.
  • Conversational and timeline refinement: Describe the changes you want, and Rodeo rebuilds the cut, or you adjust clips yourself on the timeline.
  • Finishing-tool handoff: Export to MP4, EDL, OTIO, or XML, ready for finishing tools such as Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve.

Use cases:

  • Marketing and brand campaigns: Assemble rough cuts from campaign shoots for stakeholder review.
  • Sports highlights: Find scoring plays, reactions, and crowd shots across hours of game video and assemble them into a reel.
  • Documentary rough cuts: Search across interview video and B-roll, then assemble a structural draft.
  • Archive activation: Surface moments inside your video archive and assemble themed cuts.
  • Short-form and social variants: Produce a brief cut from a longer piece, tuned to a specific story.

The Rodeo workspace

Rodeo has three screens:

  • Home: What you see when you open Rodeo. It summarizes your library and suggests ways to approach it.
  • Media: Your video library. Upload, browse, search, and inspect your videos.
  • Documents: Your cuts. Open a document to refine and export it.
